  • February 2007: Just for grins, I've launched a comic strip called The Adventures of Comma Boy, hosted on my blog at Publishers Marketplace. So far it's ranking steadily within the Top 5 Blogs!

  • January 2007: I've been asked to reprise my role as Toastmaster at the 2007 Backspace Writers Conference, once again being held at the Algonquin in Manhattan. This year's conference is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever, and will take place on May 31 and June 1.

  • June 2006: I'm thrilled to find my name on the acknowledgments page of Water for Elephants, the runaway hit by New York Times Bestseller Sara Gruen. I was privileged to be one of Sara's beta readers, and offered her some title suggestions, including the one she chose. If you haven't read this truly masterful novel yet, get off the computer and go buy a copy!

  • February 2006: I've been asked to serve as Toastmaster at the 2006 Backspace Writers Conference at the Algonquin Hotel in New York, on July 21-22, 2006. Some major figures from the literary world will be there, including some of my favorite authors!

  • October 2005: My first completed novel is now on submission with numerous publishing houses. Cross your fingers...

  • July 2005: I've just signed with a very cool agent at a major New York literary agency!

  • June 2005: Okay, I've started a blog. Hell, everybody else has one.

  • May 2004: I've joined the editorial staff at NFG, an internationally distributed literary journal printed in Canada.

  • February 2003: My story Black Lights and Breast Milk has been published in the February edition of Amarillo Bay, an online literary magazine with the goal of being the premier provider of modern literature on the Web.

  • December 2002: I've learned that my story Black Lights and Breast Milk has been accepted for publication by Amarillo Bay, and is slated to appear in its February 2003 issue.

  • May 2002: My story I'd Like to Thank the Academy has been published in the May edition of Carve Magazine, an online literary journal named for short-story writer Raymond Carver!

  • January 2002: Another editor of an interesting Web site focused on what he calls "alternative history" has asked for rights to publish The Wheel on his site. When it rains, it pours.

  • January 2002: By request, my story The Wheel is going to be used in a management course being taught by the University of Phoenix Online! I guess they see the truth behind the humor...

  • January 2002: My story The Wheel has been published on the Internet e-zine Zinos.

  • January 2002: My story I'd Like to Thank the Academy has been accepted for publication by Carve Magazine, making this my first piece of published fiction!
